Pick the one that matches your tax option. They differ for a real reason: if you elected 8%, you don't file 2551Q at all, so putting those dates in your calendar would just make you panic four extra times a year.

The bold date is the statutory deadline — the one printed on BIR forms and shown everywhere else. When it lands on a weekend, the deadline moves to the next working day (RMC 65-2016, which covers eFPS, eBIRForms and manual filers alike), which is the second date. Filing on the earlier date is never penalised, so when in doubt, use the earlier one. There is no Q4 1701Q — the annual 1701A covers that quarter.

What late filing actually costs

Missing a deadline isn't just the tax. Late filing generally stacks a 25% surcharge, interest on the unpaid amount, and a compromise penalty — per return. Two missed quarters can cost more than a year of bookkeeping. Filing on time, even a zero return, is always the cheaper move.

Questions

What are the BIR deadlines for 2026?

For non-VAT self-employed individuals: 2551Q (quarterly percentage tax) is due April 25, July 25 and October 25, 2026, and January 25, 2027. 1701Q (quarterly income tax) is due May 15, August 15 and November 15, 2026. 1701A (annual income tax return for 2026) is due April 15, 2027. Five of these land on a weekend in 2026, so the actual filing day is the next working day: April 27, July 27, August 17, October 26 and November 16 (per RMC 65-2016, which applies to eFPS, eBIRForms and manual filers alike). Filing on the earlier statutory date is always safe.

Do I file both 2551Q and 1701Q?

Only if you are on graduated income tax rates. If you elected the 8% flat option, you do not file 2551Q at all — the 8% already replaces the 3% percentage tax. You still file 1701Q quarterly and 1701A annually.

How do I import the calendar?

Download the .ics file for your tax option, then open it. On Android or desktop, go to Google Calendar → Settings → Import & export → Import and select the file. On iPhone or Mac, just tap or double-click the file and confirm. Every deadline is added as an all-day event with reminders 7 days and 1 day before.

Will it remind me automatically?

Yes. Each deadline includes two built-in alarms — one a week before and one the day before — so your phone notifies you without you doing anything else.

What happens if I miss a BIR deadline?

Late filing generally triggers a 25% surcharge, plus interest on the unpaid tax, plus a compromise penalty. These stack per return, which is why filing on time — even a zero return — is far cheaper than catching up later.

Is this calendar free?

Yes, completely free with no login or email required. Download it, share it, or post it in your seller or freelancer group.
